Council of Architecture

Ar. Naveen Kanithi is a senior government architect and architectural administrator, currently serving as the State Architect / Chief Engineer (Buildings), Roads & Buildings Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Ar. Naveen Kanithi has done his Bachelor of Architecture from Andhra University, Master of Architecture from JNAFA, Hyderabad and undergoing Ph.D. in School of Planning and Architecture Vijayawada.

With extensive experience in public-sector architectural administration, he has been closely associated with the planning, design and development of government and institutional built infrastructure in the State.

Ar. Kanithi has represented the Government of Andhra Pradesh on the Council of Architecture (CoA) for three consecutive terms, reflecting his continued engagement with the statutory and professional responsibilities of the architectural profession. He has been associated with the Council since 2021 and is currently serving his third term as a representative member from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

He has also been actively involved in the professional regulatory framework of the Council of Architecture. He has served as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Council of Architecture and currently serves as its Chairman, contributing to matters concerning professional conduct, ethics and regulatory oversight within the architectural profession.

As Vice-President of the Council of Architecture, Ar. Kanithi brings to the Council his experience in government architectural practice, public-sector administration and professional regulation. His engagement reflects a commitment to strengthening professional standards, ethical practice and the effective administration of the architectural profession in India.
